Jack Snow Stricken by Staph Infection
Update 10 Jan 2005: Jack Snow died today; more info here.
Staph infections, particularly MRSA, came into the forefront of public awareness in early 2005, as it became obvious that the formerly hospital-caught bacteria had invaded sports teams, prison communities, and even the general population.
Now comes word that Jack Snow, a well-known, former US football star for the LA Rams, has been hospitalized in St. Louis in critical condition, due to a staph infection. Snow came down with the infection in November, says the AP, but he obviously has not yet been able to throw off the bacteria.
