The flooding get worse, "countless number of residents [are] still stranded on rooftops," the looting in the French Quarter continues, says the AP.

It appears the city will be unsafe to live in for weeks due to the extensive flooding, lost electricity and phone service, unsafe drinking water, and hazardous filth dumped everywhere.
