Non-dairy Probiotic Available in UK

Lactose-intolerant people can have problems taking many probiotic supplements (such as Actimel in Europe or DanActive in the USA) in which the beneficial bacteria are carried in a milk-based vehicle.

There's a way around this now, for those living in the United Kingdom. Skane Dairy UK recently introduced a dairy-free probiotic drink called ProViva Shot!, which dispenses about 20 billion Lactobacillus plantarum 299v bacteria in each bottle. UK readers should be able to find the product in major supermarkets.
